About us in a nutshell....

I wrote this some time last year...I plan to chronicle the happenings on Everlee Farm here, on our blog, in hopes to inspire ideas and creativity! It is also a place where I will post about events that happen here as well as the garden! First, I wanted to start off telling a little about us and our history. Since the beginning of our relationship, Philip and I have dreamed of having a place like this, a blank slate, a place we could transform into something special. We started dating in college, then traveling with our jobs afterwards for the most part of 5 years. Over that period of time, we saw so many awesome parts of this great country. We hiked it, biked it, ran it, swam it, walked it, photographed it, camped it and loved it. Every Second. We were always trying to decide where we would eventually like to settle down. We really wanted to find a place that was entrepreneur minded and small business friendly. I knew, eventually, we would begin a small business. Along that road, we met some great friends that really inspired us to take chances and go for our dreams. We watched them develop and grow a small tech business from the very beginning and it was amazing. Many nights over beer and pizza we frequently chatted in to the wee hours of the morning about all the ideas we had. Don't we all have such huge imaginations? One of which, was owning a large farm property that had the flexibility to lend itself to other options. A place where people could come and make some of their best memories. Not only that, but where we could have a HUGE garden and hopefully, someday, have an option for a Farm to Table experience! Fast forward several years and we stumbled upon the perfect place to expand on our dream. I guess I had always thought the dream of having a place like this was too big, too grand, too crazy. But, God's timing is always perfect. He orchestrates things better than you could ever imagine for yourself, and he makes a way. And that he did. He made the way for us to have this amazing place. This dream. The farm. It is our dream, our passion, our life...for now...and we desperately want to share its beauty and charm. And so it begins...
